Relieving dental anxiety is one of the areas we shine at. Our patients have commented so many times that this is so much easier than they thought it was gonna be. Starts with when you enter the office, we’ve got comforts, we’ve got blankets, heated neck rolls, we’ve even got paraffin hand treatments, we’ve got headphones.
We don’t rush our procedures. We take our time to make sure you’re comfortable and make sure the procedure is going smoothly. We never work on you if you’re feeling uncomfortable at any point.
Then for those who still have concerns, we have nitrous oxide available. That’s laughing gas. We don’t charge for it, and many of our patients are very happy about that. Even going further though, we provide oral sedation. We provide you with some medicine at an appointment. You come to the appointment, we provide you with some additional medicine, and you don’t remember the procedure. Afterwards, you’re recovering at home, and you don’t have any memory of the appointment.
Sometimes we encounter people who have cut off their care for a long amount of time. They may be ashamed and don’t wanna have someone else see the problems that they’ve been struggling with. They may be nervous about their appointments. I’d just like to let these individuals know that this is what we do. We offer you two safe sedation options that will help you relax. Choose either mild laughing gas that you breathe in or oral conscious sedation in pill form. In addition, our office is warm and welcoming, and we have several amenities to help you feel at home. You can take advantage of cozy blankets and soft pillows to help take your mind off dental care.
We’ve found that a pleasant dental visit often begins at home. If you start to feel anxious about your upcoming dental work, take a few deep breaths while picturing yourself lying back peacefully on our dental chair in your private care room. Then, when you’re in the office, you can repeat this same exercise to eliminate any residual anxiety.
